The Cup Effect
Nonprofit tackling period poverty
Copywriting & strategy
The Project:
The Brief:
Lead on marketing activities and content creation for a rapidly evolving nonprofit
The Story:
I joined Mandu Reid at The Cup Effect to manage their marketing activities, creating a new marketing strategy to activate their large volunteer base. This work included leading campaigns, managing the newsletter community and supporting with event planning and partnership opportunities.
As part of our work together I created regular blog content and email newsletters for the growing Cup Effect community. The launch of the blog brought new conversation around menstrual health, period poverty and menstrual cups into the digital space, whilst monthly newsletters shared exclusive updates and special offers to support the nonprofit.
This regular content marketing enabled The Cup Effect’s community to grow and engage a new audience, helping the nonprofit to sell more menstrual cups and help even more women and girls facing period poverty around the globe through their buy one give two policy.
“I’m the Founder of The Cup Effect, we are a small, high-impact charity and social enterprise. Pip has worked with us since the beginning of 2018 and her expertise, ideas and dynamism have transformed all aspects of our communications and marketing. Her remit for us includes: digital marketing, email marketing, devising and delivering content plans and campaigns, as well as copywriting and editing.
She is one of those unusual people who excels at ‘big picture’ strategic thinking and has an excellent handle on operational matters including planning, execution and mobilising people and resources.
In addition to being one of the most reliable people we have ever worked with, she is creative, conscientious and excellent at spotting and capitalising on opportunities.
On top of all that she is brilliant to work with, I recommend Pip in a heartbeat, without even a flicker of hesitation!”
