The Story:
Teresa approached me looking for someone to guide her through the process of updating her pre-existing Squarespace website to make it feel more like her. As the writer behind the creative blog Lady Chic Pea, it was important that this digital space act as a home for Teresa’s current work whilst being malleable for any future additions.
We started the process with a website audit, analysing Teresa’s original site and planning actions for improvement to design, user-experience and copy. The audit report then acted as our roadmap for the rest of the project.
We curated a brand update with a fresh new colour palette to add a touch of warmth and a more welcoming feeling to the minimal Lady Chic Pea brand. This flowed through the website design updates, with pops of peach and gentle blues alongside white hues.
These changes were actioned over a series of edit days, which allowed us to be flexible and include additional mini-projects such as designing a newsletter template and connecting Teresa’s new website with Mailchimp.
This collaborative approach enabled me to feedback to Teresa with ideas and inspiration for tweaks to the website copy, as well as add in some special features such as a custom-coded blog page layout.
Teresa now has a website that she’s proud to show off to the world and one that she feels in control of, safe in the knowledge that she can make any edits needed. This is a Squarespace website that will stand the test of time.
